Team Dordon!
Today a team of Year 3/4 children from Dordon competed against other schools in a tournament at Baddesley Recreation Ground. The team played really well together and won 2 out of 3 games, losing to the eventual winners.
Mr Dormand from TS Academy commented on the progress he had seen and the brilliant attitude of the players. The children made all of us at Dordon very proud.
Thank you to Mrs Hopkins and the parents who supported us in this event. It was a soggy but well played afternoon.

Year 5/6 Girls
This evening the girls from Dordon played in a tournament at Baddesley Ensor. The girls played with true grit and determination. The defence was strong and there were plenty of attacking opportunities. It was wonderful to see a strong sense of team spirit and pride playing for our school.
The girls made it through the group stages, only losing one of their matches, and into the semi-final.,
In that match against Kingsbury, the girls showed real fight and were the only team not to lose to Kingsbury in open play. Unfortunately, the girls lost the semi-final on penalties but can walk away with their heads held high and a sense of achievement.
Thank you once again to a hardy team of supporters for transporting children and being equally gripped by the outcome.
Football Tournament - Y5/6 mixed team
Today Dordon played in a tournament against other schools in North Warwickshire. We had a team of both Year 5 and 6 boys and girls. The team played really well together and all of the matches were really close. Unfortunately the team did not make it through the group stages of the competition.
Dordon 0 - 1 Coleshill
Dordon 0 - 1 Outwoods
Dordon 1 - 0 Hurley
Dordon 0 - 2 Kingsbury
Dordon 0 - 3 Woodside
Our team spirit was strong and the players showed resilience and determination. Thank you to all the parents who braved the cold to support Team Dordon.
Football tournament for Y4
Dordon entered a tournament for all North Warwickshire schools.  In the group stage, they were up against 6 other teams. Their results are as follows:
Dordon 1 - 0 Austrey
Dordon 1 - 0 Kingsbury
Dordon 0 - 2 Nethersole
Dordon 0 - 1 Outwoods
Dordon 0 - 0 St Edwards
Dordon 3 - 0 Warton
The players were fantastic and the group of supporters could not have been more proud of the way they conducted themselves. Unfortuntately we narrowly missed out on a place in the semi-final. We hope the team will continue to practise together so they are even better the next time they play!
