Dordon Primary School is looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant Level 2 on a fixed term contract supporting EHCP
The successful candidate will join an effective team working in a GOOD school (March 2019). The pupils are well behaved and hardworking. As a team, we strive to achieve the very best for all of our pupils recognising them as individuals and encouraging them to aim high.
Our school has just over 200 pupils who are keen and eager to learn. The staff work closely together and also with the staff at Wood End Primary.
This role is attached to funding provided for supporting a Year 4 child with an EHCP for their learning needs. It would involve planning activities at their level to ensure the next milestones are met. Regular liaison with the SENDCO and external agencies is required as part of this role.
This role would also require the successful applicant to work in the mornings in our additional provision - the Hive. In here, we cater for children with additional needs offering the curriculum at their level interspersed with work on social and emotional aspects of learning. This would mean liaising with class teachers to deliver the work planned. Children in the Hive currently range from Year 2 to Year 6.
At Dordon we are committed to safeguarding children and this post is subject to a successful DBS check being completed.
