Introducing Our New Year 6 House Captains!
We are delighted to introduce our new Year 6 House Captains for this academic year:
Attenborough – Eva
Fiennes – Lainey
Earhart – Teddy
Hillary – Rory
All of our Year 6 children worked exceptionally hard to prepare and deliver speeches to their Houses, hoping to persuade their peers to vote for them. Standing up in front of your friends and classmates is no mean feat, and we are incredibly proud of the way the children overcame their nerves, showed perseverance and put themselves forward for this much-coveted role.
Miss Fellows told me that, at the beginning of the process, many Year 6 pupils were reluctant to participate. However, as the children became more enthused, almost every pupil decided to put their name forward because they wanted the opportunity to become a House Captain. It was wonderful to see their confidence grow and their excitement build throughout the process.
A huge well done to every Year 6 pupil who took the time and effort to write and deliver their speech. Whether you were elected or not, you should all be incredibly proud of yourselves. Standing in front of your peers, sharing your ideas and having the courage to put yourself forward is a fantastic achievement.
To our new House Captains — Eva, Lainey, Teddy and Rory — congratulations! We are so excited to work with you and can't wait to see all that you will achieve. I know that together we can make Dordon even better this year!
Well done, Year 6 — we are incredibly proud of you all!
