Guiding Lights Project

For the third year running, we were delighted to welcome the National Memorial Arboretum to our school this week to help us reflect on the concept of Remembrance and why it holds such significance for our country at this time of year.

Pupils in Years 1–3 took part in a storytelling workshop themed around light and created beautiful Lanterns of Remembrance, which will be showcased at the Arboretum as part of their Winter Light Trail this December.

As always, the Arboretum team presented the theme in a child-friendly and engaging way. It is a real privilege to work with them and to help pass on the spirit of Remembrance to our youngest pupils.
