Bikeability – Year 5

Year 5 had an amazing time taking part in Bikeability Level 2 – what a fantastic experience it was! The children threw themselves into the sessions with real enthusiasm, having lots of fun while learning vital skills to help them stay safe on the road.

While many of the children were already confident cyclists, Bikeability Level 2 helped them take the next step by learning how to navigate real road situations safely. They practised signalling, road positioning and making sensible choices around traffic, growing in confidence with every session. It was wonderful to see their skills develop and their confidence soar. A huge well done to all of Year 5 for their focus, effort and positive attitude!

Here’s what some of the children had to say about the training:

Jack B: “I liked learning about the ‘city stop’.”

Tobi: “I liked going round the island and doing signals.”

Millie: “I liked going around the roundabout.”

Chloe: “I liked all of it – it was fun to take my bike out on the road.”
