Every Child Belongs at Dordon Primary School
At Dordon, we believe that every child is an important part of our school community. Just like a jigsaw, each piece is unique and essential — and without every piece, the picture is incomplete.
Each child in our school represents their own jigsaw piece and every piece carries the same message: you belong. When all of these pieces come together, they form the Dordon School family — a community built on care, respect and a strong sense of belonging.
Belonging is fundamental to our school’s ethos. When children feel valued, safe and included, they are more confident, happier and better able to learn. Our aim is to inspire confident, happy and resilient learners who strive to be the best they can be through an engaging curriculum delivered in an inclusive environment.
On Monday, Mrs Cross led an assembly to remind the children of the importance of our school jigsaw. During the assembly, Peacock Class and our new arrivals were each presented with their own jigsaw piece, symbolising our togetherness as a school community. It was wonderful to see how proud the children were as they received their jigsaw pieces.
Moments like these remind me what a special community we are and how incredibly proud I am of the school we are today!
